Two of the region’s top spoken word poets

Jenni Pascoe

A multi-slam winning North East poet with a penchant for purple. As founder of nationally acclaimed spoken word night ‘JibbaJabba’, she has curated and hosted regular events throughout the region and beyond. Past performances include the Big Chill Festival, Northern Stage, Newcastle Pride, BBC Slam, Lindisfarne Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as headlining various local events, University of London, and Jawdance. Jenni strongly advocates the wearing of hats!

Steve Urwin

Diarist, ranter and multiple poetry slam winner from Consett, County Durham. He works as a freelance Creative Writing facilitator. His books include Tightrope Walker, Hypomaniac, Shades Of Grey and So Much for the Sunshine. He runs the publishing imprint Talking Pen and hosts Poetry Jam in Durham.
