Event description

Description

University of Edinburgh academics (including PhD students) working on aspects of social responsibility and sustainability (SRS) are invited to join an SRS Academic Network ‘speed networking’ meeting.

This is an opportunity to tell others about your research interests and key projects, gather new ideas, and meet potential new collaborators from different disciplines. There will also be an update on funding opportunities and support available.

From an institutional perspective, the University has defined SRS as including: climate change and energy; resource efficiency and circular economy; socially responsible and sustainable supply chains; responsible investment; sustainable laboratories; sustainable travel; resource efficiency and circular economy; equality and diversity; widening participation; community engagement.

The Department for SRS exists to enable the University to understand, explain and deliver on its ambition to be a leading socially responsible and sustainable university, and leads and collaborates on a range of initiatives and programmes.

The Department is keen to facilitate research collaborations on SRS issues, especially where research can help the University become more socially responsible and sustainable (University as a Living Lab).

If you’re not yet a member of the SRS Academic Network, you can sign up here: http://www.ed.ac.uk/about/sustainability/themes/research-teaching/network
