Joining requirements
Attendance at and participation in activities during the session is required for certification purposes. Please ensure that you have the ability to connect to Microsoft Teams with a microphone and camera function.
Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Recognise the different categories of child abuse (including online abuse) and the possible signs and indicators
- Understand how child development may be impacted on by abuse
- Recognise their own safeguarding roles and responsibilities and the importance of working together to identify, assess, and meet the needs of children where there are safeguarding concerns
- Be clear about what to do if they are concerned about a child and who to speak to
- Be clear about how to respond to a child who tells them about possible abuse and how to record and share information
- Understand the importance of safe working practice
Cancellation policy:
All non-attendance and short notice cancellations will be charged at the standard course/event fee rate.
Short notice cancellation is classed as any cancellation received less than seven days before the course/event date.
You’re welcome to substitute delegates or transfer them to a future course/event of the same type at short notice.
