Event description

Description

Get more from your studies with our complimentary Study Skills workshops on Saturdays throughout 2016/17.

Academic skills workshops for undergraduate students in the School of Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.

Critical thinking is one of the most valuable skills you can gain whilst studying your degree. It is crucial for thinking rationally, linking ideas together, writing assignments, and making a strong argument. Join us for this intensive three-part introduction to critical thinking.

Academic skills are crucial to your success in your studies. They help you to become an efficient and effective learner. These workshops will introduce you to the academic skills that are expected of you as an undergraduate student.

The workshops will be run by Sara Steinke who is an experienced teacher at Birkbeck.

Refreshments of teas and coffee will be available at our study sessions and there will be a 30-minute interval for a comfort break.

If you cannot attend this workshop, perhaps you could attend in December 2016. Click here to book your place: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sshp-study-support-workshop-series-201617-critical-thinking-tickets-28140697584
