Event description

Description

In 2010, Frog and Amy Orr-Ewing pioneered a new approach to church and mission, launching a new church in south Bucks with a distinctive vision. Seeking to reach young adults, to integrate worship, prayer, the mind, community, land, and business, and to be a resource for the wider church, Latimer Minster now meets on a 70-acre farm in south Bucks. Their model has proved singularly effective in reaching millenials: this conference will bring us much food for thought in our own churches.

On 9 May, Frog will outline the original vision for Latimer Minster, and the reality of implementation, taking a candid look at assumptions made, lessons learnt and mistakes made. He will also discuss challenges for the future – including reaching the next generation ‘iGen’.

This day promises to be a stimulating and worthwhile opportunity for evangelicals in St Albans to be equipped with insight and inspiration for the wonderful task of taking the unchanging gospel to a changing society. As usual, there also will be time to renew friendships and make new contacts, and to support and encourage one another in prayer.

Frog is also Chaplain to the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and prior to his ministry at Latimer Minster, was Vicar of All Saints Peckham. Frog and his wife Amy are the co-authors of three books – Deep, Holy Warriors, and Millenials – and have three sons.
