Description

Welcome to International Student Tours

As part fo our Welcome Programme, this tour is to welcome all our new international students from Glasgow Uni, Strathclyde Uni, GCU and UWS Paisley to Scotland in January 2018.

About the Tour

An incredibly extraordinary experience to visit St Andrews, one of Scotland's most finest towns on the east coast of Scotland. Worldwide, it is known as the 'Home of Golf', the sport having been played there for 600 years and its Old Course, arguably the most famous golf course in the world. The beautiful town also boasts Scotland's oldest University, the University of St Andrews, also the third oldest in the English-speaking world! As you may know Prince William and his wife Kate both studied at St Andrews University! You will be enchanted by the university's elegance, its buildings, delightful quadrangles and gardens. As you walk through the town's Medieval centre, you will find yourself back in time with its cobble stone streets and narrow alleyways. You will have plenty of time and there is so much to see in this charming town visiting St Andrews Castle, Cathedral, British Golf Museum, the beautiful sandy beach in St Andrews, where the famous opening sequence of Chariots of Fire was shot, Art Museums, Botanic Gardens and North Point Cafe (where Kate and William used to meet), etc...

This day trip also includes visiting Queensferry to see Scotland's most iconic bridge, the world famous Forth Bridge filmed in '39 Steps'. We will also make a short stop at 'The Kelpies', the impressive magnificent largest horse head sculptures by Andy Scott. So, can't be missed!
