Frequently asked questions

What time should I arrive?

We advise arriving between 6-7 pm to ensure you can listen to the speeches, enjoy a full tour of the different departments and have the chance to ask any questions you may have. Our senior leadership team, SENDCO, teaching staff will be available along with transport and admissions staff from SCC.

Who will I be able to ask questions of?

There will be the opportunity for yourself and your child to speak to current St Anne's students as well as our transition officer and Head of Year 7, members of the senior leadership team, our SENDCO, subject teachers as well as admissions and transport advisors from Southampton City council.

Is the site accessible for wheelchairs and prams/buggies?

Our site is partially accessible - ground floor access is possible for some areas of the school but there is lots of stairs and no lifts so unfortunately wheelchairs and prams/buggies will not be able to undertake a full site tour.

Is parking available?

No - unfortunately there is no public or visitor parking onsite however there is a public car park just down the road on Bedford place and lots of on street parking within a fairly short walk. Public transport links are also very good due to our location (see bus websites for details)

Should I bring my daughter with me?

Yes if possible! Prospective pupils are very welcome to attend with their parent/carer(s). Younger siblings are also welcome if childcare is tricky.

Do I need to book?

Yes please - tickets are free - just so we can plan for the right number of tours etc. Only 1 ticket per family group needed. If you have missed the chance to book please come along anyway as we can always accomodate a few extras on the open evening!

I can't come for the whole 2 hours, is that ok?

Yes of course - if you cannot be with us for 2 hours, arrive between 6-7pm and let us know on arrival how long you have and your tour will be tailored to your requirements. Alternatively if you arrive after 7pm you should still have time to visit key areas and ask any questions you might have.
