About this Event

Lent is a season of discipline and self-denial, during which we may feel called to seek a deepening of our faith, discipleship and spirituality. Drawing on the 'wisdom of the desert' this Quiet Day will explore aspects of the Christian contemplative tradition, with reference to the Gospel story of the Temptation of Jesus in the Wilderness and other key sources...

Nicholas is the Director of St Antony’s Priory, Durham, and founder the Newcastle Meditation Centre. He is the author of Tantalus and the Pelican: exploring monastic spirituality today (2009) and The Wilderness Within: meditation and modern life (2014).
