St John's at the Varsity Rugby Match
Thu 8 December 2016, 11:00 – 19:00 GMT
St John’s at the Varsity Match – Thursday 8th December.
This year St John’s will once again be reserving a group of Category 1 seats in a fantastic position (on the halfway line, located within the stadium concourse) for the Rugby Varsity Match on Thursday, 8 December with additional access to the Blues Village.
The Men’s Varsity Match has been played on the famous turf since 1921 and Oxford are on a record-breaking winning streak, looking to secure their seventh consecutive victory this year. The Women’s Varsity Match joined the fixture at Twickenham in 2015 and the Oxford women are looking to reclaim the trophy from Cambridge after last year’s heavy defeat.
The Blues Village will be open from 11:00am to 7:00pm with kick off 11.30am (Women’s) and 2.30pm (Men’s), and will be serving food and refreshments. This is an ideal central location for St John’s alumni to congregate both before and after the Match.
The tickets (including access to the Blues Village) in the St John’s block are priced at £41. Tickets need to booked and paid for by 16 November (when we return any unsold tickets to the Blues Village organisers). We are taking registrations via eventbrite but please call us to pay to confirm your booking. (Tickets are not free as stated on the Eventbrite site). If you would prefer us to email or post you a booking form let us know (01865 610873).
To pay (by credit card) please call the Development and Alumni Relations Office (01865 610 873).
We very much hope that you will be able to join us and you are, of course, welcome to bring guests.
There is parking at the venue for £30.00 per car but passes are first-come, first served; contact Christina Haddad (2012 Economics and Management), OURFC Marketing Manager, email@example.com, to secure your car space.
Can Oxford’s men continue their record-breaking winning streak? Will the women take revenge for last year’s defeat? We look forward to finding out in the company of many St John's alumni!
