Event description

Description

This stunning building sets the scene for what promises to be an enjoyable, entertaining and unforgettable St Patricks Day Ball.

Designed in the neo-classical style by architect William Hill and alongside local architect Charles Bevis who directed its build, the guildhall was constructed in 1890. William Hill died before the building was completed. It was originally known as the Town Hall. On 21st April 1926, Portsmouth was raised to the status of a city and the town hall was simultaneously renamed Guildhall.

Guests will arrive via the ceremonial steps and enter the guildhall through the majestic bronze doors, where they will be welcomed by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress at a drinks reception. Dinner will be served at 8pm.

Following dinner, there will be live entertainment provided by the superb Irish band, ‘Barn Storm’, this four-piece band will have you clambering to the dance floor as it belts out its impressive repertoire of Irish music.

The evening will include a fantastic raffle and auction.

Tables will seat 10. You dont need to book a whole table, just buy as many tickets as you need and we will do the rest.
