Description

The Berkeley Ensemble, curators of the Little Venice Music Festival, are delighted to extend their new concert series, based at St. Saviour’s Church, Warwick Avenue into the summer months. Continuing with two concerts showcasing the members of the ensemble in intimate duo and trio performances, we invite you to join us on Tuesday 29 May and Tuesday 26 June for music by Ravel, Debussy, Arnold and Berkeley.

Event tickets are priced at £8 each.

Free tickets available for Under 26s supported by the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust.


29 May 2018, 6.30pm

A programme of duos for violin and cello, with the Berkeley Ensemble's violinist Sophie Mather and cellist Gemma Wareham.

  • J. S Bach Cello Suite No. 2 in D minor BWV 1008

  • Lennox Berkeley Introduction & Allegro, Op. 24

  • Handel-Halvorsen Passacaglia

  • Maurice Ravel Sonata for Violin and Cello


26 June 2018, 6.30pm

Join the Berkeley Ensemble's violist Dan Shilladay for an hour of music from both sides of the English Channel for the enchanting combination of flute, viola and harp.

Programme to include:

  • Claude Debussy Syrinx

  • Malcolm Arnold Duo for Flute and Viola

  • Claude Debussy Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp
