Event description

Description

This years STAA's summer event is moving to Glasgow. and has a new format with two speakers each covering very different areas of Transactional Analysis. These speakers provide a great example of the range and depth of Transactional Analysis. The talks are designed to be accessible to both practitioners and students from all counselling and coaching backgrounds.

Margaret Webb became a therapist after teaching for over 20 years, which included 9 years teaching young people with special educational needs. She was a counsellor in an NHS CAMHS team and currently has a private practice in Glasgow offering psychotherapy, supervision and training.

Margarets talk will look at how physical and mental wellbeing has been affected by the rise of loneliness in the 21st century. In working to improve wellbeing how does the TA practitioner follow Eric Berne and brave the wilderness beyond autonomy in search of interconnectedness and belonging in society?

Alastair Wyllie has over 20 years of experience of facilitating leadership and organisational development through action inquiry, executive and team coaching, and collaborative learning. He also has a developing practice in organisational supervision, with a particular interest in working with internal coachees, business partners, organisational developers and consultants.

In the first half of his session, Alastair will briefly outline four aspects of his own organisational practice for discussion with the group on the TA that could provide a frame of reference.

In the second half, Alastair will describe and facilitate practical exercises that transactional analysts might use with their coaches and clients in an organisational field to support, challenge and contain congruence, development and emerging change.

A Certificate of Attendance for six hours of CPD will be given to all attendees.
