Staff Access Hackathon: Workforce Mobility

This FREE* online Hackathon on 5th & 6th July 2022 for the Provisioning and Systems Access Alpha (PASA) will bring together developers wishing to devise, test, and develop solutions to improve the experience of staff in their employment journey, making it easier to provision accounts and provide access to clinical and workforce systems and locations.

Join us for this NHS England & Improvement (previously NHS X) - sponsored hackathon focusing on Workforce Mobility, the use of Authenticators, Verifiable Credentials in Digital Wallets, Trust Frameworks and Joiners/Movers/Leavers User Journeys to ensure we improve workforce mobility in the NHS, across Government and more broadly.

This event is for all those interested in learning about, testing, and developing the capabilities and tools that will enable staff to be able to securely access facilities and systems as they move across health and care settings.

Please note that, to ensure fair representation from across government and industry, we may limit the number of hack participants per external participating organisation to 4. This number may increase closer to the time of the event.

PREPARATION & MASTERCLASSES

Masterclasses recorded at the pre-hack Learnathon for this event (which took place on 25 May 2022) will be published on the INTEROPen YouTube channel in advance of the Hackathon along with links to necessary background resources.

It is strongly recommended that anyone wishing to take part in the Hackathon should make use of the dedicated Staff Access Hackathon forum on Ryver (the INTEROPen collaboration platform)**

All registered delegates will be invited to take part in weekly preparation calls, due to take place on Tuesdays from 08:30 - 9:00 commencing on 31 May, and ending the week after the hackathon on 12 July (to offer an opportunity to debrief and look at next steps).

Whether you are an identity systems provider, workforce system provider, technology provider, public sector or private company wishing to explore the use of authenticators, wallets, verifiable credentials, and decentralised identity services to support staff movements; a public sector or industry professional curious to get involved and help steer the development and ensure the 'real-world' usefulness of software solutions to support the workforce; or a software developer keen to understand end-user needs, this event is for anyone wishing to explore how new technologies can be used to support more connected, efficient workforce movements, provide easy access to systems whilst ensuring their security and integrity, and generally make life easier for employees and administrators as staff move from one organisation to another.
