What is it?

If you love singing, musical theatre or opera, acting and enjoy performing your favourites from the West End and Broadway operatic repertoire, then this is the masterclass for you! This session will take an in-depth look at the performance and stagecraft techniques required to portray a character convincingly and convey their emotions through a given piece.

You will need to be confident in singing in front of an audience and be ready to perform a song you know extremely well in front of Sophie, and your fellow students.

So if you fancy yourself as the next Elphaba or Jean Valjean, then sign up now as there are only four places available!

Who is it for?

Singers and performers aged 11-18 years old and at Grade 5+ who are confident performing online in front of other students.

Sophie Radley

Sophie Radley began receiving musical tuition at a very early age, realising at aged nine that she wished to pursue a career as a pianist and an opera singer. Sophie’s musical studies have taken her to venues around the UK, France and Spain. In 2009 whilst living in Spain, Sophie was granted a Scholarship to study at both the Royal Superior Conservatoire of Madrid and the Superior Opera College where she studied her degree in both piano and voice.

Sophie has worked for the education sector since 2005 specialising in music and modern foreign languages and is currently a Kent Music tutor delivering on our creative programmes.

By signing up to this event, you/your parent or guardian is consenting to your participation in this virtual event on Zoom. All our teachers are employees of Kent Music, have up-to-date training, are fully DBS checked and are experienced professionals. The event will also be attended and monitored by DBS-checked admin staff from Kent Music to ensure the participants' safety and security throughout.
