SATURDAY WORKSHOP from 9.30am - 2.30pm
This practical workshop is a perfect introduction to stained glass work for beginners or those wishing to refresh their knowledge. If you have already been to one of our workshops you are most welcome to join us again and we have some lovely new designs for you to create !
You will learn the traditional skills of glass cutting and shaping to a pattern, copper foiling and soldering in a friendly environment with plenty of individual attention. Our tutor Jeanette will guide and encourage you through the process and by the end of the class you will have a unique and beautiful creation to take home with you, as well as an understanding of the techniques and tools involved if you decide to move on to projects of your own.
All the materials you require for this workshop will be provided and are included in the price.
The workshop will have a maximum of five students, to ensure plenty of teaching time and that each student has enough individual time with the tutor too.
Lunch is not provided, but there are many nearby shops within walking distance or you can bring a snack / packed lunch. We will be providing cake and drinks to help fuel your creativity.
We suggest you wear older clothes, and a long-sleeved top.
The class is ideal for beginners, but because of the lead content of the solder, this workshop is not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
