This is a one day workshop held on Friday 26th September, 9.30am to 3pm.
"Enrol by 6th September and save 5% on your course fee — no code needed!"
This practical workshop is a perfect introduction to stained glass work. Ideal for beginners, those wishing to refresh their knowledge or for those seeking an opportunity to create a new piece of work.
You will learn the traditional skills of glass scoring, breaking, cutting and shaping to a pattern. Plus how to confidently use copper foiling and soldering to complete your personalised suncatcher. The course takes place in a friendly environment with a maximum of 6 participants and so you will have plenty of individual attention. Our tutor Jeanette will guide and encourage you through the process. By the end of the class you will have a unique and beautiful creation to take home with you, as well as an understanding of the techniques and tools involved if you decide to move on to projects of your own.
All the designs, materials and equipment you require for this workshop will be provided and are included in the price.
- Lunch is not provided, so you may wish to bring a snack / packed lunch.
- Cafe on site where you can purchase hot/cold drinks and snack/sandwiches
We suggest you wear older clothes, and a long-sleeved top.
The class is ideal for beginners, but because of the lead content of the solder, this workshop is not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
