The Staines-upon-Thames Santa Fun Run is a charity event organised by the Rotary Club of Staines, supported by the Elmsleigh and Two Rivers Shopping Centres whose Christmas Parade is being held the same morning.
The event consists of a 3.5km run or walk around the town centre of Staines dressed as Santa!
Our aim is to provide a fun, family friendly Christmas event to raise money for local charities; the main beneficiaries being Woking and Sam Beare Hospices, supporting their new build appeal and Transform Housing and Support, who prevent homelessness across Spelthorne by providing accommodation and support services.
The event will involve entrants dressing up in a Santa suit, beard and hat provided by us and then running or walking around the pre-defined course. The Santa suits come in three sizes, therefore it will be necessary to order the most appropriate size per entrant. They can be customised or enhanced to fit or for fun.
The course will be over a distance of 3.5km and will be around the town centre starting in the High Street at 9.30am. The route followed will be relatively flat and suitable for everyone, including those with pushchairs and buggies. We will also be providing a fun warm up before the run starts! Entrants should arrive in the High Street by 9.15am for the warm up before the event starts at 9.30am.
Entry is in advance of the day as we only have limited numbers of Santa suits in each size. You can register and pay using a debit or credit card of your choice. You also have an option to pay by cheque. Once you've completed this, you will be sent an email confirmation of your entry to the event, including when and where to pick your Santa suit(s) up from. We can also arrange to have your Santa suit(s) delivered to your home address.
Entry to this event is just:
- £12.50 for an adult (18 and over)
- £10 for a young person (aged 12 to 17)
- £5 for a child (aged 5 to 11)
- £30 for a family (two adults and two children)
- Free for a child (aged 4 and under)
The entry fee includes your Santa suit, beard, hat and a medal upon completion of the fun run. Funds raised from this event will be split between Woking and Sam Beare Hospices and Transform Housing and Support.
