Event description

Description

Do you stammer or know somebody who does? Maybe you are interested in finding out more about what it’s like to stammer. Many people who stammer live full lives with healthy relationships and success in a variety of work areas.

This is an opportunity to chat with people who understand what it’s like; to hear about and share strategies that people have developed to manage their stammering and the challenges that remain.

Our event, in partnership with the British Stammering Association (BSA), aims to raise awareness and to celebrate Tim Fell’s (BSA Chair) success in walking from John O’Groats to Lands End (well….to Bristol at this point!). As well as an enlightening talk from Tim himself, it will feature a Q&A with several other stammerers with different backgrounds and career paths - including Milk Teeth's owner, Josh Bowker.

We are also looking for people who stammer to join the Employers Stammering Network in Bristol, where we are working to ensure that everybody who stammers can reach their potential at work, whatever they do.

Come and join us, have a drink, and enjoy the Milk Teeth cafe's range of teas, coffees and yummy pastries. We will be sharing experiences and insights for stammerers and non-stammerers alike.

If you would like to find out more about Tim Fell's epic walk and how to make a donation, please visit: https://www.stammering.org/get-involved/stamwalk
