About this event
This session will be ran by SARI (Stand Against Racism and Inequality) - a charitable organisation that covers BANES, North Somerset, Somerset and South Gloucestershire. They provide client led 1-1 advocacy support to victims of hate crime as well as other services in these areas.
The Empowerment event is aimed to equip individuals with knowledge that will help them deal with hate crime appropriately. The session will raise awareness, build confidence and empower individuals. Anyone is welcome to attend.
In the session we will cover:
- Different types of hate crime/ strands and its impacts.
- How to report and recognise hate crime and hate incidents and what services can support.
- Challenges and barriers to reporting.
Free refreshments will be provided. This session is kindly funded by National Lottery Community fund (NLCF) for their ‘Every Victim Matters Service’.
