Stand-up Comedy in Stonesfield
Fri 19 May 2017, 19:00 – 22:00 BST
Stonesfield Village Hall will play host to an evening of stand-up comedy when four professional comedians hit the stage on Friday 19 May.
The headline act for the evening is Milo McCabe - a character comedian who performs all over the UK at clubs such as The Comedy Store and Glee and is always a favourite at The Edinburgh Festival where the Daily Mail reviewed his act as, ”A must see". He will be performing as his alter-ego, Troy Hawke, a handsome matinee idol home-schooled by his overly nostalgic mother… Regularly headlining major comedy clubs up and down the country, and overseas, it’s a rare treat to find Troy playing a village hall!
Troy is ably supported by Luke Honnoraty, Harry Stachini and Tom Glover.
North Devon Stand Up Comedian Luke Honnoraty is a confident, engaging performer who's skilled story telling is sure to captivate any crowd and he handles dark topics with a charismatic delicacy, performed with a cheeky, personable delivery. With his stories on life and embarrassing moments combined with his infectious personality, his brand of comedy is easily identifiable, which leaves you feeling like you've known him for years.
As he’s got a car he’ll be bringing another Devonian comedian with him, Tom Glover. On the UK comedy circuit since 2010 Tom has avoided the bright lights of TV panel shows in favour of gigging to everyone from students to the ladies of the WI. This plucky 28-year-old has developed a knack of winning over any crowd with his tales of life on the outside and his observations on the minutiae of the everyday. And if that’s not your thing he also does funny accents and pulls silly faces.
Even younger than Tom, Harry Stachini at 22 is establishing himself as “one-to-watch” on the comedy circuit with his easy-going style along with his likeable character which just adds to the brilliance of the stories and the unexpected one-liners that has crowds in stitches. We were delighted that he celebrated his 200th gig with us where he was a big hit with the residents of Wendlebury.
