THE STAND UP COMEDY NIGHT is coming to Coventry! A great night of stand-up comedy and spoken word poetry starring a selection of some of the funniest comedians that the UK has to offer, including;

Cassandra Maria (Host & Comedian)

Cassandra is a comedian from Birmingham. She performed her first standup show in January 2019 and it set to continue in comedy, both standup and online.

Jay Droch (Comedian)

Stand up, improviser and the newest comedy voice from Birmingham, UK. Beginning his comedy journey with Jumprov (@Jumprov), the UK’s first BAME improv theatre company, Jay has become a regular face on the West Midlands thriving theatre circuit. In 2018, he took his step into stand up comedy and has gone on to perform stand up and improv at the most prestigious venues and theatres across the Midlands including: The Comedy Loft, the MAC (Midlands Art Centre), Belgrade Theatre and The Birmingham REP.

Jay finished 2018 opening for one of the biggest stars in British comedy, Guz Khan (BBC Three’s Man Like Mobeen) at the home of comedy, The Glee Club.

Tarik Ross-Cameron (Spoken Word Artist)

Tarik Ross-Cameron is a poet and performer with a distinctive voice, telling stories and weaving words in an engaging and refreshing way.

Tarik has performed at various venues and events in his home city of Birmingham, as well as London, Coventry and other UK cities. He has written poetry for the Birmingham Big Art Project and featured at Birmingham Hippodrome’s B-Side Hip Hop Festival and SBTV’s #0121Radio. His other radio appearances include Brum Radio Poets and Vital’s The Midlands Source on BBC WM.

His debut poetry collection, Do What You Can, was commissioned by Punch, Arts Connect and the Gallery 37 Foundation and launched at MAC Birmingham in October 2017.
