Standards for Exchanging Screening Data

This Pistoia Alliance is hosting a series of webinar/teleconferences to present and discuss topics emanating from the Hannover Information Ecosystem Workshop last October. On Wednesday 7th March 2012 at:

(07:00 to 08:00 - PST), (10:00 to 11:00 - EST), (15:00 to 16:00 GMT), (16:00 to 17:00 - CET)

David Kniaz of Merck will introduce and socialize the topic of exchange standards for screening data, including exchanging data with CROs. Standards in this area could not only enhance data quality, but reduce discovery project cycle time and cost. Teleconference participants will discuss:

    • The scope of any Pistoia efforts, including the types of assays to cover
    • Which data content and format standards would have the highest value
    • Whether to collaborate with the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) in developing standards
    • Who should contribute to the development of business case and use scenarios

You will receive dial-in instructions upon registration.

We are a global, not-for-profit alliance of life science companies, vendors, publishers, and academic groups that work together to lower barriers to innovation in R&D.

Our projects transform R&D innovation through pre-competitive collaboration. We bring together the key constituents to identify the root causes that lead to R&D inefficiencies. We develop best practices and technology pilots to overcome common obstacles.

Our members collaborate as equals on open projects that generate significant value for the worldwide life sciences community.
