Stanford Reads : A Silent Reading Circle

Stanford Reads : A Silent Reading Circle

Overview

A silent reading circle at Stanford. Bring your book, slow down, and enjoy quiet presence in community.

Most book clubs mean reading the same book, long discussions, and the pressure to keep up.

Stanford Reads is different.

This is a silent reading circle where we gather, each with our own book, and simply read together. No performance. No pressure. Just presence, imagination, and the quiet joy of community.

📚 How it works

  • Bring any book you love.
  • We meet, say hello briefly, and then settle in for an hour of silent reading.
  • For those who wish, we may grab a quick dinner afterward or catch a classic film at the historic Stanford Theater.
