Event Details

Staphylococcus GBI 2017 will be held at Swansea University, Singleton Campus on the 14th and 15th of September.

The bi-annual meeting is an opportunity for researchers from the UK and Ireland who are interested in the biology of staphylococci to meet and discuss their research. The program will focus on presentations by postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers who will share with us the most cutting edge research developments from all areas of basic and clinical staphylococcal research. Selected abstracts will be chosen for oral presentations. All other abstracts will be included in a moderated poster session. Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentations.

This year's plenery lecture will be delivered by Dr Bas Zaat, Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam, a distinguished scientist and world leader in biomaterial-associated infections and novel antimicrobial strategies.

Registration fee will cover attendance at the meeting, two night bed and breakfast en suite accommodation (13th and 14th September), tea/coffee breaks, drinks and nibbles at the poster session, lunches and the conference dinner on the evening of Thursday 14th September.

Anyone wishing to present at the meeting should send their abstract as a word file attachment, to  by  the deadline on 14th July and indicate whether they wish to be considered for an oral presentation.
