Event description
A workshop and stargazing session for tourism businesses keen to develop their own stargazing experiences

About this Event

Businesses are invited to tap into one of the North East's greatest natural assets – its starry night skies!

Northumberland has the most pristine dark skies in England and one of the best places in the UK to enjoy them . It has been estimated that the value of astro-tourism is worth £25 million a year to the local visitor economy.

This workshop, led by astronomer Richard Darn will help you understand the importance of our dark skies and why they need to be conserved, with tips on how your business can gear-up to provide an unforgettable dark sky experience for your guests.

Weather permitting, you will also have the opportunity to view the skies above. On-going business support will also be provided. Book early as places are limited.

The event is being supported by Clif Bar through their National Parks Protectors Fund
