Event description

Description

Dark Skies Dan from the South Down National Park Authority will be bringing 3 telescopes up to Beacon Hub's car park for an evening of stargazing and celestial wonder. Dan will be telling us all about the UK's Dark Skies Reserves and how you can support local wildlife by using the right outdoor lights.

Delicious cake, homemade soup, toasted panini, hot chocolate & hot rum toddies will be on sale (cash only) to help keep the chill out. Wear plenty of layers, gloves, hat & scarf so you know you're comfortable outside. There will be some outdoor seating so bring cushions and blankets to keep extra snug.

The meeting room will have a Space Themed colouring table & music for accompanied children to enjoy. An area of the car park will still be available for parking, but there's easy access from Brighton with Rottingdean Windmill bustop right outside. By booking a free ticket to this event you'll help us estimate the amount of food and drink we need.

We hope you might make a small donation to the charity on the night so we can put on more free family events. If you remember our last Dark Skies Night back in March 2015 you'll know you're in for a real treat.
