Fire up your own talent!
These free sessions for young creatives can help you get started in the digital and entrepreneurial heart of London.
Digital Shoreditch reaches out to a younger community with this day of free sessions happening on the bustling Clerkenwell campus of City University London.
“Start Me Up” features high quality, creative morning and afternoon contributions on two themes – Getting involved and Starting well.
The morning will focus on unlocking your potential, looking at ways to make the best of the special qualities talented young people from all backgrounds bring to Britain’s digital and innovation scene.
There are many paths, besides starting your own business or being a tech wizard, which can set you on an entrepreneurial journey as an 18-24 year old. We’ll explore options and ideas for getting involved presented by pioneers of the new creative/digital age, and experts on generation Z.
Later, we’ll bring a selection of some of the best insider suggestions for ways to get off to a good start and amplify your unique talent and difference. There are insights from the worlds of craft, video and publishing; solid tips on approaches to social networks, storytelling and finding focus (who needs digital distraction?), plus enterprise education pointed from City’s own crack team. The day sets the scene for Chinwag’s Career Day on Friday 24th.
If you’re a job seeker ‘Start Me Up’ can help you hit the ground running the next day, with professionals from the digital and creative community. Chinwag’s career fair will bring you face to face with leading employers, including some of the top creative studios in Shoreditch. You can sign up for that on : http://chinwagcareersday13.eventbrite.co.uk/
