Getting Your Message Out – Connecting and engaging with your audience
Tue 6th December 2016, 5-7.30pm
At our next Café join author, entrepreneur and recent TEDx Leicester vocalist Jim Shields who will be guiding us through the process of reaching out to and engaging audiences.
Director of Twist & Shout Communications, Jim has worked with organisations from small to large (including Sony, Warner Bros and Barclays) on how they can use comedy to get noticed and create intimacy with their customers.
Whether you want to better connect with your customers or simply want to apply more creative ways to engage your audiences, this your chance to learn.
We’ll also hear from local start-ups pitching for support and from Leicester start-up networking groups pitching their communities; from Tech, to Creative, to Social Enterprise. Don’t miss out on a great chance to connect!

More about Jim Shields:
Jim has had a passion for filmmaking ever since he discovered that he could combine the flickerbooks he was drawing, with sounds he'd captured in jars. For the last 25 years he has run Twist & Shout Communications (http://www.twistandshout.co.uk/), based in Leicester, working for global clients such as Sony, Warner Bros and Barclays. More recently, he has made short comedies for the "interweb" to help companies achieve a better public profile, despite their crushingly dull products and services.
He travels the world creating campaigns and running workshops for marketing teams, mostly on how they can use comedy to get noticed and create intimacy with their customers. Jim has spoken at CIN (Creative Industries Network), RANT (London) and regularly at KD Media College, Dallas TX. He's written his debut book 'Three Guys Walk Into A Bar: How To Thrive As A Creative Business' and, on 9th December, will be launching his second book ‘Once More, With Feeling’ designed to help on how large corporations can achieve intimacy in their marketing and communications.
Like the sound of this Café? Why not take a look at one of Jim’s favourite marketing guru, Seth Godin (https://goo.gl/4i3AGG), before you come along.
