About this event

Start-up is a free business training programme for those looking to start their own business or go self-employed in Norfolk. It's also for early stage businesses that have started within the last 24 months and would benefit from training and support.

Delivered by trainers from MENTA Business, the programme consists of four sessions covering key aspects of starting a business: business planning, marketing, bookkeeping, journey to net zero.

This session is being held at the Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library.

We are also offering one-to-one support sessions (online or in-person) and access to grant funding (subject to eligibility).

MENTA Business understands the challenges that running a business can present, especially a new one, and can offer more than training as they have real business experience.

We recommend you try to attend all four sessions to get the most out of the programme.

In this session, we will look at the journey to net zero and cover:

  • What is meant by ‘carbon neutral’?
  • Why is it important for SMEs to reduce their carbon footprint
  • Calculating a business’s carbon footprint
  • Carbon management plans
  • Demonstrating your green credentials

Once registered, you will be sent a link to an enrolment form, which will help us identify the areas you need support with.

To register for the other three sessions and one-to-ones, please see our Start-up collection.
