The aim of this session is to support NEW food or drink manufacturers and anyone considering setting up as a food or drink manufacturer.

Please note – registration for this event is only available for new and existing food and drink manufacturers based in Wales, not for related organisations, consultants or students.

Aim:

To support any NEW food or drink manufacturer, anyone considering setting up as a food and drink manufacturer, and those pivoting from food service to manufacturing.

You must be:

A NEW business less than 12 months old OR an existing food service business looking at a NEW product for retail/wholesale/direct-to-consumer.

Based in Wales and planning to produce in Wales.

Session objectives

By the end of the session, delegates will:

· Know the key requirements for registering a food and drink business

· Understand the basic food safety requirements and knowledge of training available

· Have a basic understanding of sourcing ingredients

· Have a basic understanding of business planning

· Have a basic understanding of competitor and market research

· Have a basic understanding of sales and marketing tips for new businesses

· Have a basic understanding of finance, costings and sourcing finance

· Have a basic understanding of scaling production

· Know more about the support available through The HELIX Programme, Cywain and Business Wales

At the end of the session, delegates will have an opportunity to discuss their specific idea/product with a member of the team at ZERO2FIVE and discuss next steps in stages of support.
