About this event

Gateshead is a Borough built on innovation and entrepreneurship, full of amazing individuals with equally fantastic business ideas.

Our team of expert business advisors have created a free intensive 2-day programme to provide you with the tools, skills and information you need to consider starting a business in Gateshead.

Delivered in The Northern Design Centre, our interactive workshops will help you make 2022 the year that you started your journey as an entrepreneur!

Startup Smart will cover:

  • An introduction to business planning.
  • How to utilise market research to understand your competitors and customers
  • The legal aspects of registering and running your business.
  • How to put sustainability at the heart of your business.
  • Funding and bookkeeping.
  • How to drive sales through effective marketing.

PNE work with organisations and individuals who share our ambition of supporting businesses that want to harness the power of entrepreneurship to make a difference. In attending our intensive programme you also gain access to interactive tool kits, one-to-one coaching, mentoring opportunities.

We will even pop the kettle on throughout the day!

This project is funded jointly by the European Regional Development Fund and Gateshead Council. As part of our funding requirements, we will ask for paperwork and evidence of your identity before you attend. The team will be in touch via email or phone when you book your place via Eventbrite to confirm your attendance.

Session dates are

February 24th and 3rd March. 10am to 4pm.

March 16th and 23rd. 10 am to 4 pm.

April 29th and May 6th. 10am to 4pm

May 20th and 27th. 10am to 4pm.

June 16th and 23rd. 10am to 4pm

July 14th and 21st. 10am to 4pm

September 16th and 23rd. 10am to 4pm

October 13th and 20th. 10am to 4pm

November 18th and 25th, 10am to 4pm

Please note you must be able to attend both dates however we understand flexibility is also required so if you are unable to attend the 2 dates a week apart please get in touch for guidance.
