A two day workshop (9.00am - 5.30pm on both days) for any creative individual based in the West Midlands, who is thinking about, or in the early stages of setting up a creative business (in arts, design or media). We will cover all the essentials around your values, marketing, branding, financial management, intellectual property, your legal structure (eg self-employed, Limited Company) and your networks.
The course is run by Percy Emmett who has extensive experience in supporting small creative businesses.
Full course details here
The course is fully subsidised by European funding and as such does not have a course fee for participants. In return, and as a condition of attendance at this ERDF funded opportunity, we will ask you to complete the appropriate paperwork and bring proof of where you live.
Places are limited and allocated by selection. To apply for a place on this course please register below. Should your application be successful you will receive confirmation of your place and further accompanying information by email.
As the cost value of the course is fully subsidised, and places are limited, we ask that if you are offered a place you accept only if you are certain you will attend. If you later find you can't attend we will expect you to contact us to cancel your place. In the event of a place not being cancelled and the participant not attending we reserve the right to invoice the non-participant for a percentage of the wasted course costs.
Please note that due to the nature of the funding any non West Midlands based individuals or organisations are ineligible to attend. If you are unsure if you qualify please see our West Midlands region map or contact Creative Enterprise.
Tea & coffee will be provided, along with copies of all course materials. Please provide your own lunch.
The Knowledge Transfer Venue is part of Stoke Business Village, which is not far from Stoke-On-Trent Train Station. Directions here
