Ideal if you would like an overview of the skills you need to write a novel - or if you'd like to get ready for joining the weekly course (above). You'll cover the basics of creating and getting to know your characters, finding and developing a storyline that is meaningful to you, giving your story a suitable setting, and how to use dialogue to the best effect. You'll also have a go at writing your opening scenes. This is a small group workshop, maximum six participants. The workshop runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm with a 1-hour break for lunch.
