Are you considering a career as a Declutterer or Professional Organiser (PO)?

Have you recently started working as a Declutterer or Professional Organiser?

Or are you an experienced PO looking to refresh your skills and grow your business further?

APDO, the UK’s premier membership and training Association for Professional Declutterer’s and Organisers is now offering its successful live training course, live online. The same great content as before, delivered live online by two APDO members who run their own Organising businesses.

The training is run over two mornings on Saturday 7 August & Saturday 14 August 2021 and is open to APDO members, and non-members who are interested in starting a new business in organising or adding organising services to their existing business.

We recommend that you are over the age of 18 to attend this course - there is no upper age limit.

All sessions will be lively, informative and interactive with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and share tips.

The key topics covered include:

* What do professional organisers actually do?

* How to work with clients and manage specific challenges

* How to find your first clients, an introduction to marketing your business

Plus lots more.

Our courses are limited to 10 participants so its easy to get to know one another and you will have plenty of time to interact with your professional trainers.

Our courses have always been hugely popular so please book early.

Cost:

APDO members: £279.00.

Non-members: £349.00.

All prices include VAT.

A welcome pack and workbook will be sent to you in the post prior to the course.

*APDO reserves the right to change training content or leaders, if necessary.

Sorry, no refunds. APDO may be able to transfer your booking to another event if we can resell your place but this cannot be guaranteed. An admin fee of £40 (inclusive of 20% VAT) will be charged for transfers. Requests to transfer bookings can only be considered up to 2 weeks before the event for which you book.

FAQs

What are the requirements to join this training course?

This course is aimed at people who are just starting out as a professional organiser, those wanting to refresh their skills and those wanting to add organising to their current business services. You are not required to have set up a business yet.

To get the most from this training and be a successful Organiser you must enjoy working with people. It is likely that you will already have some (but not extensive) experience of organising and decluttering with others, whether paid or not.

How can I find out if this is the right course for me?

If you have any questions as to the suitability of the course for you, you are welcome to book a short consultation call with APDO's Head of Professional Development, Julie Stevens, (max 20 mins).

What is the refund policy?

Sorry, APDO do not refund bookings but your booking can be transferred (please see below).

Is my booking transferrable?

If you cannot attend the event after booking, you can transfer your place to someone else who is eligible to attend but you must inform APDO at least one week before the event. APDO will not be responsible for the transfer of fees. An admin charge of £40 will be charged.

How do I join the training online?

Our live online training courses take place on a platform called Zoom. You will need a wifi (preferably hard-wired) internet connection, a desktop or laptop computer (Mac or Windows) or a tablet. We do not recommend you using a phone. The links for each session will be in your welcome pack and will be emailed to you in good time.

What do I need on the training days?

APDO will send you a welcome pack which includes a workbook for you to record your own notes. We suggest you set yourself up in a quiet space with any drinks and snacks that you may need. There will be a couple of 5 minute breaks during the training.

Definitely bring with you your curiosity, motivation and positive energy.

Can I record the training?

APDO does not permit the use of live recording during training events. Please do not record the live Zoom sessions. We respect everyone’s privacy and do not share personal details.
