Introductory session for parents/carers to the SEN world and how SPACE can support you.

About this event

Do you have a child aged between 0-6 with additional needs?

Whether your child has a diagnosis, you are just starting out on the pathway or are somewhere in between we would love you to join us at Starting SPACE.

Starting SPACE provides a safe and inclusive environment and numbers are always limited to ensure we can tailor the content as much as possible to the needs of the group.

Friday 4th November 10am-12pm

Friday 11th November 10am-12pm

***Attendee's will benefit most by attending both sessions***

Across the two sessions you will meet some of the SPACE team as well as other families at a similar stage in the journey to you – families experiencing similar things and living similar lives. Abby, our family support worker will give a brief and informal introduction to the world of SEND and you will also have an opportunity to learn a bit more about how SPACE can support you and your family through your journey.

Teas and coffees are provided and you will also have a chance to look around our lovely new Lending SPACE Library - lots of sensory, educational and practical equipment and resources that can be borrowed for free.

“Starting SPACE was absolutely wonderful. The information was crucial for me. The speakers were lovely, accessible, helpful, very kind and they came across as people who knew exactly what they were covering. They were very understanding and it was good how I could relate to them. Once you start this (always unexpected) journey, this is the type of thing that makes a difference; to get in touch with people and organisations like this.”

Please note: This is an event for parents/carers only and we cannot accommodate children. Please contact if you have any queries.
