"I don't have any money, so how can I start a business?" is a common question posed by many who have brilliant business ideas but feel that the requirement for start-up capital is out of their reach. The prospect of taking out a massive loan isn't appealing to many and we may think that investors will want too much equity in our business - something that we don't want to give away. Many entrepreneurs and start-up businesses are clued up on all other aspects of their business but avoid tackling this topic...and that's where this workshop will help.
This practical workshop is going to address this challenge in a range of practical ways. During the session we'll:
- help you discover how much money you actually need to get your business off the ground
- identify potential sources of funding
- identify alternative resources that can help you get started
- unpick the requirements of funding proposals and business loan applications
- explore crowdfunding
This workshop will help attendees feel more comfortable about the financial aspect to getting their business started, by applying practical and useful steps to funding the early stages of their start-up. You'll leave excited and raring to go!
- thinking about starting a full or part time business
- a new business owner, less than a year
- have a brilliant business idea but no idea how to get started
