Feeling stuck or pulled in too many directions?
September’s Startup Sunday is all about finding clarity, focus and purpose in how you run your business.
We’re thrilled to welcome back the brilliant Sue Knight, whose January session was a firm favourite.
This time, Sue will take us deeper into the Pro-Social Matrix and how we can use Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) to navigate challenges and stay grounded in what really matters.
Whether you came in January or this is your first time, you’ll leave with practical tools to support your business journey – and a sense of calm clarity too.
About Our Guest Speaker: Sue Knight
Sue is an experienced practitioner and facilitator whose approach blends Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), and the Prosocial Matrix to help people create meaningful growth and connection in their personal and professional lives.
Sue helps people practise acceptance, build psychological flexibility and live in alignment with their values.

Welcome to The Lark Network
Do you get a bit nervous when networking?
Do you want to have relaxed conversations with other women who understand the difficulties of starting a business?
Are you looking for a community to support your startup or freelancing journey?
The Lark Network is just what you’re looking for!
The Lark Network is a group of women and non-binary folx who meet monthly for informal networking over tea and coffee.
If you're new to Lark, here's what you can expect from our events...
😊 A relaxed environment with informal conversations where you can get to know other women who work for themselves
🙂 A friendly group of women who understand that self-employment or starting a business can be tough, especially if you face additional challenges in life.
👶 Child-friendly networking with activities to keep the kids occupied (including all the fabulous books in the children's section of the library!)
☕️ Free tea, coffee and light snacks funded by the Portsmouth Community Lottery fund.
⏰ We don't do "late"! Drop in any time between 11:30am and 1:30pm - we understand life gets busy so don't stress if you're not there for the 'start'!
We do things a bit differently at Lark.
You won’t be asked to do your elevator pitch (although if you want help perfecting it, we’ll be more than happy to help!). We’re not about pushy sales.
We believe in giving you the time and space to build genuine connections with other women, allowing you to create a real support network.
We're a supportive community where you can ask for help.
We don’t feel you should have to choose between your business and your babies, so children are welcome to attend.
Our networking is completely free to access. However, you can help keep our services low or no cost for the women who need them by making a donation to The Lark Network.
Startup Sunday is funded by the Portsmouth Community Lottery
We're delighted to have received funding from the Portsmouth Community Lottery Fund. This enables us to offer free tea, coffee and light bites to eat at each event.
Our Venue: Southsea Library
We're excited to have a fully accessible, family-friendly venue for our network.
We meet in Southsea Library on Palmerston Road, Southsea.
