Event description
Get ready for 2022 with this series of Startup Surgeries, designed to help you work through business challenges and towards business goals.

About this event

Are you a founder looking for support to work through a business challenge? Would you like to better prepare yourself to achieve your business goals in the new year?

Get ready for 2022 with this series of Startup Surgeries, taking place from 30th November - 14th December, aimed at helping founders work through business challenges, and towards business goals, via peer to peer and group support.

The Startup Surgeries take two forms: Founder Surgeries, supporting founders to reflect on their business journey this year, and Design Surgeries, supporting founders to improve their business and/or product in the new year.

The Startup Surgeries are brought to you by OneTech and funded by Stride. The Surgeries are available for founders living, working or studying in Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark or Wandsworth.

Founder Surgeries, with Lotta Olsson

Supporting founders to reflect on their business journey this year

  • Mindset, Drive and Fear of Failure: Tuesday 30th November, from 8am - 9:30am

Starting a business is one of the most difficult things you can do. Alongside lots of drive and excitement the constant changes and pressures on the entrepreneurship journey can get the best of us at times.

This session will give you a good understanding of mindset, drive and fear of failure... AND how you can use it to your advantage. We will uncover some of the common hurdles faced by founders, and leave you with the tools to navigate them!

  • Regroup, Reflect & Get Ready for 2022: Tuesday 7th December, from 8am - 9:30am

Spending a lot of time working on day to day tasks of running your business can make founders lose track of the bigger picture.

This session will give you an opportunity to take a step back and reflect on your journey as a founder during the past year. We will explore the most important areas for you and your business, and provide you with some tools to help you take stock.

We'll then explore what you want from 2022, setting the scene for the year ahead. You will leave the session with some tools and a vision of what to look forward to in 2022.

Design Surgeries, with Giulia Piu

Supporting founders to find ways to improve their business and/or product in the new year

If you have a business website or app, but are struggling to know how to improve it, or if you would like some support in defining your customer base or your business strategy, these collaborative sessions will help you refocus your efforts to meet that challenge.

Guided by Giulia Piu - a serial-entrepreneur with one exit - you will come equipped to the Design Surgery with your business challenge, work alongside fellow founders to examine that challenge, and walk away with tailored support and the tools you need to take that challenge forward.

Two Design Surgeries are available:

  • Design Surgery 1 - Thursday 9th December, from 8am - 9:30am: Focused on Web, App, Brand & Communication
  • Design Surgery 2 - Tuesday 14th December, from 8am - 9:30am: Focused on Customer Research and Product Roadmap

Founders are welcome to attend the full series of Startup Surgeries, or alternatively, each Surgery can be attended as a stand-alone support session.

The Startup Surgeries will be held online via Zoom. Closer to the time of each Surgery, all those who have registered will be emailed the Zoom link and instructions for how to join the session.
