If you want to start a business, arguably the most important thing that you need are your first customers.
But before you can get any customers, you need a clear sales plan - so how do you get started?
There are so many traps that startups can fall into when it comes to sales.
Building a clear and solid sales plan for your business will help you make critical decisions around what to prioritise, what you can comfortably ignore and what will put you on the right path to getting those all important customers that make or break your business.
We're thrilled to be hosting sales expert Sophie Carter, who has worked in both corporate and startup sales roles.
- Which key sales activities to do when;
- How to develop and test your sales proposition, channels, and markets;
- Who should do the selling and when;
- How to approach early sales opportunities.
About the Speaker
Sophie Carter worked for over a decade with tech giants such as Microsoft, Sony and Nokia managing global accounts and driving large complex enterprise deals. Now, she is a freelancer helping startups with their sales strategies.
She left the corporate world a year ago to become Commercial Director for a rapidly growing startup/social enterprise. In that year she set the sales strategy, developed a sales plan, put in place a process and team and closed a game-changing £1m plus annual recurring deal.
She is currently working with a mix of tech and social enterprise startups. Read more about her on www.socarter.com.
