State of the Parties: Where Are They - And We - At?

Labour have seen their approval drop to levels last seen with Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak. The Conservatives are now in fourth place in many polls and Jeremy Corbyn's new party is an existential threat to the Greens. Meanwhile, the Liberal Democrats see themselves on the rise and Reform UK are convinced that Downing Street is calling.

How have we got here? How and why did it happen so fast? With nearly four years until the next (expected) election, will it hold? What do parties need to do to reverse fortunes or entrench their position? This talk examines political parties, elections, democracy and British political culture. It is useful to anyone studying, or even just has an interest in, Politics, Humanities and Social Sciences or anyone who wants to just understand what is happening!
