Wed, 14 Sep 2016, 10:00 – Wed, 14 Dec 2016, 16:00 BST
THIS IS AN ONS ONLY EVENT
Statistical Analyst Scheme 2016
The GSS Statistical Capability Team within the Learning Academy is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for the Statistical Analyst Scheme (SA scheme).
The next SA Scheme will run from September 2016 to December 2016.
The primary purpose of the Scheme is to:
- enable staff to gain basic statistical and analytical skills
- provide competencies in their current jobs
- provide development opportunities for staff moving into posts that require such skills
The RSS Ordinary course forms the foundation for providing the majority of the extra skills required of a Statistical Analyst, therefore the RSS Ordinary qualification (or equivalent) is a pre-requisite for enrolling on the SA Scheme.
There is no charge for courses to the business area, however we will implement our cancellation policy for non-attendance.
The GSS Statistical Capability Team is looking for a firm commitment from staff who wish to take up this amazing opportunity and who have their line manager's approval.
To apply for the SA Scheme, simply click below for a ticket to reserve your space then email GSS.Capability@ons.gsi.gov.uk for an application form. If you are successful, you will be contacted and advised on enrolment. Please do not enrol on courses until you are notified. Places for the SA Scheme are allocated on a first come, first served basis of those that meet the criteria.
You will choose six modules from a given list. Three are mandatory and three optional. The modules are accessed via written assignments. Assignments may take between 2 - 4 hours to complete for each module.
To find out more about any of the courses on the SA Scheme, please come along to one of our roadshowsheld outside the canteen in Titchfield on 20th July 2016.
