Age UK London working in partnership with NHS London are delighted to bring you an in person session discussing all aspects of staying healthy as winter approaches on Wednesday 22nd October from 11am to 1pm followed by a light sandwich lunch. We will be discussing exercise, healthy diet, supplements, staying hydrated as well as eligibility for any winter vaccines such as flu, covid, RSV, shingles or pneumonia.
This in person event will take place near Kings Cross at LUMEN United Reform Church, 88 Tavistock Place, Bloomsbury, London WC1H 9RS
We are delighted to have as our guest speaker Dr Oge Ilozue a practicising GP in north London and Senior NHS Clinical Advisor. Dr Oge has had postgraduate training in general medicine, paediatrics and women’s health and has also spent a year working in rural South Africa. The event will be Chaired by Dr Tony Burch, Retired GP, Volunteer Vaccinator and Chair of Age UK London.
Each person will get a chance for their questions to be answered and can submit them to the Dr either before the event or ask directly on the day.
Come along and join in the discussion. We will be looking at:
What are the best ways to stay healthy this Winter?
Do I need to take vitamins or supplements?
How much excercise do I really need?
Do we really need a another covid booster and who is eligible?
Is the flu really that dangerous?
Age UK London have resources and materials for distribution and will provide the attending groups and organisations with robust information to spread the message across London. Lets help each other to stay safe and healthy this winter.
