County Armagh talk series

The social landscape of 18th century Ireland was by and large peaceful. Political and sectarian tensions building in County Armagh from the 1750s meant that this county was one of the exceptions. Eoin Magennis looks in detail in this lecture at the changing composition and character of secret peasant societies there between 1750 and 1800.
