STEM Ambassadors in the classroom - good practice and promoting STEM career...
Thu 18 May 2017, 16:00 – 18:00 BST
Teachers and STEM Ambassadors are invited to join us for an informal networking session to share good practice, ideas for use in schools, and meet others from the area .
The session will offer talks from local educators and industry representatives, and enable attendees to discuss how Ambassadors can support schools in their teaching and in raising the profile of the sciences and STEM careers.
We will include a 'speed dating' session and sample lesson plans, along with lots of other ideas ready to go - perfect for planning over the summer ready for the Autumn term.
If you are interested in presenting a 'good practice' story about a project you have been involved in which link schools and STEM Ambassadors in some way, please let us know.
This event is being coordinated jointly by STEM Sussex, on behalf of the South East England STEM Ambassador Hub, and the Sussex Science Learning Partnership, and kindly hosted by Heathfield Community College.
This event is open to teachers (from any school) and registered STEM Ambassadors.
