Whether you love maths or it brings you out in a cold sweat, this workshop will show you how to include more maths in your club. Whether you are a chemistry, technology or mathematics teacher you will learn something new in this interactive workshop. You'll be given the chance to talk about what you need to get maths moving in your club and meet other club leaders.

The workshop will be lead by two experienced maths communicators:
Katie has a PhD in topology and dynamical systems. She works for Think Maths with Matt Parker, giving talks in schools around the country about engaging off-curriculum mathematics. She is a maths masterclass leader for the Royal Institution. Katie is the organiser of the Manchester branch of MathsJam, a monthly pub night which involves fun maths, puzzles and other interesting mathsy things. She is also a trained maths busker and has been known to accost shoppers with emergency pentagons.
Liz is the STEM clubs advisor for the North West. She has a PhD in history and philosophy of mathematics. She reads heiroglyphs and has translated maths texts that are over 3000 years old. She has co-authored a book on mathematics for gifted and talented pupils and delivers a masterclass on philosophy of maths as part of the Royal Institution series.
