About this event

Are you passionate about STEM for all? Do you work with learners with additional support needs? If so we would love you to come and join us as we begin to shape a network that meets practitioners needs.

We have two kick-off sessions planned for 26 April and 4 May where we will hear from partners about the exciting work being done to ensure STEM learning is inclusive and responsive. We will hear from a range of partners including the Royal Society of Chemistry, science centres, those working in assistive technologies and also project work by universities and others.

We are delighted to welcome a number of guest speakers to this event share their practice and offers including:

  • Paul Nisbet - Call Scotland
  • Fran Hutchinson - Dynamic Earth
  • Nicola Malinowski and Louise Campbell - DYW Edinburgh.

This session is open to practitioners from all sectors ELC, primary, secondary and community learning and development. It has a strong focus on additional support needs.

The sessions will take place within the Glow environment and participants will be asked to join the STEM Nation Webinar team in advance of the session.

Target Audience - Please be aware that the target audience for this event is for professionals within the Education Sector in Scotland and to register for the event please enter either a school/establishment/local authority or Glow email address. If you work in Scottish education and would like to attend, but do not have a glow or work email address please email esevents@educationscotland.gov.scot with the name of your setting or service, to request a place. Thank you for your understanding.
