Event description

Description

Plant parasitic nematodes cause around $100 billion crop damage annually. These have been controlled by the application of pesticides which are highly toxic and many are now being removed from the market. The concept of synthetic biology will be explored as an alternative method of sustainable management of plant parasitic nematodes.

Speaker: Dr Keith Davies, University of Hertfordshire
