STEM Networking: Maintaining Curiosity
"A high-quality science education provides the foundations for understanding the world... Science has changed our lives and is vital to the world's future prosperity" - National Curriculum 2014
OFSTED's recent "Maintaining Curiosity" report provides us with the opportunity to look at how teachers get students enthusiastic about science by engaging with all sorts of STEM activities, including STEM Ambassadors and STEM project work.
Come along to our STEM Networking event, hosted by the Science Learning Centre South West and Graphic Science, to discuss:
- how STEM Ambassadors can help maintain students' curiosity about STEM careers
- the role of student projects in motivating young people in the STEM subjects
- equipping school-leavers with the practical, investigative and analytical skills required to succeed in their chosen career
