** STEMPRA MEMBERS ONLY **

The 2018 AGM will be the chance for you to hear a summary of what Stempra got up to over the last year, vote on any key decisions about Stempra’s future, bring issues to attention, have a pint with fellow members and, most importantly, elect new members to the Stempra committee. This is your opportunity to have your say in what Stempra does over the coming year and to get involved with steering the organisation, so please do think about standing for committee roles!

If you’d like to apply to be on the committee, then more information is below but also feel free to get in touch with any current committee member if you’d like to find out more about what the role might involve (especially if it’s a named position).

The roles up for grabs this year are:

- Treasurer – (currently Sallie Robbins, sallie@stempra.org.uk) Is primarily responsible for Stempra’s finances. They ensure that membership fees are collected, deals with fees and expenses, updates the committee on Stempra’s financial status, and provides written and audited accounts to the AGM.

- Events Coordinator – (currently Trish Regis, trish@stemprea.org.uk) Oversees the events the committee organises and makes sure they run smoothly, including looking after Eventbrite. That can include monthly events, networking events, the Xmas drinks, and the Press Officer Training Day.

- Newsletter Coordinator – (currently Fareha Lasker, fareha@stempra.org.uk) Compiles and sends out the regular newsletter to Stempra members which includes topics and discussions of interest, info about upcoming events, and an update from the Chair.

- Four non-portfolio committee members – They may not have a specific named role on the committee, but they take on pieces of work as they come up such as organising events, helping with the newsletter or website, or filling in for other committee members as needed. As these roles don’t always have specific jobs to do, they are a great opportunity for you to lead on other projects the committee is working on or bring your own ideas to the table.

- **BRAND NEW** Social Media Coordinator – this is a brand new role on the committee, and will involve leading on Stempra’s social media activities (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc). Any queries can be directed to Claire (claire@stempra.org.uk).

So that’s 8 roles in total - we’re keen to get lots of applications this year so please do think about putting yourself forward! Being on the committee is a really great experience so do get in touch with myself or Claire (claire@stempra.org.uk) if you want to chat about being involved.

If there’s anything else you want to see discussed at the AGM, then you need to email me (akay@stempra.org.uk) a motion (with the signatures of a proposer and a seconder) by Friday 23 February.

Please get in touch if you have any queries, and good luck with your applications!

See you at the AGM!
