Step by Step Cyber Essentials
Wed 28 June 2017, 09:30 – 16:00 BST
Who should attend?
Anyone who is considering certifying their company against the Cyber Essentials or IASME small-business information security standards should attend this course. Especially important if you are an SME planning to bid for a HM Government contract covered by Defence Cyber Protection Partnership and Cyber Security Model requirements.
No prior knowledge of cyber security is needed. The course is aimed at a non-technical audience but will also be of benefit to those with general technical skills who are not specialists in information security.
The course provides the training needed to self-assess your company for the IASME and Cyber Essentials information security standards.
Depending on your technical capabilities, you may still need advice or help from a technical expert on some aspects of the Cyber Essentials assessment but you will be better placed to ask the right questions. (Through our consultancy we can assist you in the implementation of Cyber Essentials in your business.)
The course will train you in the core concepts of cyber security and the steps required to complete the IASME and Cyber Essentials self-assessment process.
It will provide you with the knowledge to complete the self-assessment questionnaire, and the confidence to ask the right questions of suppliers and experts within your own company, to find the answers you need.
The course covers the main topics of Cyber Essentials and IASME self-assessment.
Now our combined training and assessment package, in association with Cyber Strategies Ltd, provides IASME accredited training and support joined seamlessly with the assessment process taking the pain and uncertainty out of your Cyber Essentials certification.
The Step by Step Cyber Essentials course is a mix of formal training and group exercises based on a cyber incident scenario presented in a boardroom round table style led by an experienced cyber security management specialist.
This session runs between 0930 and 1630, including a break for lunch. Refreshments are included.
We limit delegate numbers to a maximum of 12 for each session which promotes interaction with the presenter and each other.
Each delegate receives a personal copy of the high quality course handbook which includes space for notes and key points to take away.
There is no strict dress code but most delegates favour business casual.
The regular cost of this one day course is £280 per person (Eventbrite booking fees may apply).
Places on the course will be confirmed only on receipt of payment in full prior to attending.
